My colored version of this awesome drawing
I commissioned from
of my D&D character Sethron Nimueh, a kalashtar rogue. Background:
Sethron was once like most kalashtar (ie. wise beyond his years) until he was cursed, leaving him with what more or less amounted to a child's mentality and understanding of the world. Darker forces seized upon this opportunity and trained him to be a killer, and for most of his life he had no concept of right and wrong, or death. It wasn't until he was much older that he learned that making people "flow red" was not part of a harmless "game," and slowly he gained a better understanding of good and evil. He was once disciplined for talking too much by having his mouth sewn shut, although it hardly made any impact, since he has telepathy. Regardless, he rarely ever speaks out loud, preferring his telepathy to verbal communication. He still gets an almost child-like enjoyment out of killing things (usually monsters, now that he's an adventurer), which tends to give people the impression that he's psychotic. What can he say? Seeing monsters "flow red" is still on of the rare things that make him smile.
