UPDATE: More re-rendering using a softbox light instead of HDRI. I think redoing these portraits is good practice, though the white in his shirt gave me trouble.

He got new clothes! And a pose that very accurately reflects his personality. I'm extremely happy with this one. Possibly my favorite thus far. He finally look 16, like he's supposed to.

Wren's becoming a very popular character, though I'm not sure why. Perhaps his growing status as woobie has something to do with it...

He does look closer to his age, yes. I like the previous pose, though. But that's just me. :)

I did too, but it just didn't work for a full body shot like this.

The beauty of introducing characters is, as people get to know them better, it's easier to focus on a personality trait at a later date. (she's a poet and doesn't know it. ;) )
Perhaps, when you're comfortable with it, you'll be illustrating an aspect of your story. :)

Oh, I fully intend to render a few scenes, once I've done all the characters. That way, I'll already have each character "set", so to speak, and just need to bring them into the scene and pose them as needed.

That will definitely be one(s) to look forward to.

I want to try one of Micah's arm turning to gold. I think it'll be a fun challenge.

On indeed! You'll also have to explain how you managed it. I have poser, but I've never used it beyond creating poses for some of my art. I find I have neither the patience or time to manage all the intriquicies (sp?) required for a postable piece. =/

Intricacies. I use DAZ|Studio 4.5 Pro, and LuxRender (to, well, render). Sometimes, I spend days on a piece, working on it little by little until I'm satisfied.

When are you gonna do one without his arm?

When I finish the other portraits, a few other ideas I have, and have the time to figure out how.
