UPDATE: A new version of the hair model I used came out, one that actually fits the model, so I rerendered. Tweaked the colors a little more too, and I must say I'm very satisfied with the results.

UPDATE AGAIN: More lessons in lighting! Because I have to render Gabriel three times (for his hair to color correctly), I had to make sure the lighting settings were identical. That was fun, getting it to look proper with all three different colors. I ultimately used the base render (with black and silver) as a reference point, then tweaked the other two to match. Only photoshopping here was the combining of the three renders and very, very slight color adjustment.

Gabriel got some new clothes! And a slightly different pose from the original. Though I like the mystique of the first version, I love how his warmth comes out here. I still have to make three renders to do his hair (stupid texture), but it is always well worth the effort.

And now Raphael won't stop bugging me about another render...

Your abilities to render depth of character with your ocs is really coming along. (which is too bad, as I personally prefer your drawn characters.) but it'll be interesting to see how they've developed a ways down the line. :)

Thanks! ^_^ I'd like to hope I'm improving. I wish I had more time to draw, but I don't even have a scanner to get them into my comp anymore.

He looks very masculine here. Well in body type. His face is very androgynous.

He looks awesome though, and he does look warm.

Naturally, he should look more masculine in his human guise. At some point, I may true doing their angelic forms, but that will take a lot of effort on my part for sure. I'm just glad I was able to keep the androgyny in his facial features, at least.

And Raphael is telling me to warn you: touch at your own risk...

Yes. He is very androgynous in the face.

Why would I wanna touch death? If I touch death, I die.

There's a loophole to that (not counting the guardian one) that I think he's worried you'll try to exploit. Because Gabriel is very pretty...

I'm not in the story... am I? lols

I try not to touch the angels. Especially Gabriel. Although I like loopholes.

But I am not in the story... even so, I had no say in it.

Lol not being in the story certainly didn't stop your eyes for Alistair, heh.

Alistair was so pitiful! And he's more my type. I have a large preference for black hair and blue eyes.

Not the Gabriel doesn't have thing going for him. I'm just very caring. Plus mortal angel relationships don't work out. The angel sacrifices their immortality and job and then like dies three seconds later, or the mortal becomes embroiled in some Heaven scandal, and that's just too much for me.

Plus Raph said do not touch.

*snort* Good on you. Actually listening to Raphael. Though I wonder how he will be perceived once he makes his appearance.

And pardon my pun, but playing Devil's advocate here: sans the angelic thing, Alton has the black hair, blue eyes combo too.
