Phineas Drayer: Char-Tex WP by Cei-Ellem Phineas Drayer: Char-Tex WP by Cei-Ellem
Phineas is a character I'm working on for a D&D campaign I'm planning. This is also a character and texture set I'm building that I hope to be able to sell. The wallpaper is a test render, so to speak, to see how the character looks so far.

I'm assuming you're talking about the texturing on the character; his skin and hair...that's actually pretty impressive! The skin looks slightly shiny, as if he's just a bit sweaty, which is a neat effect.
I even like the background. :)

Thank you ^_^. I did no texturing on the hair, but the skin I did. I used a merchant resource as a base and built up on it. My favorite part is the scar on his face; that took a lot of work.

The shininess is a shader for DAZ|Studio for skin. When I do renders for the the packaging of the product, I'll use default shaders (so people don't get a false impression of my product).

The only other thing I would add to your comments is a suggestion for people to zoom in for a closer and better look. At the distance you can miss out on alot of what you just did and described.
Good luck with your product selling. :)

Oh, I don't plan on using this image in my promos. I'll make new renders that better showcase the details.

An excellent idea  but do keep in mind, even the roughs sell you. :) (had to promote art work for a local gallery once. ^^;)

I'll keep that in mind, but I'm only allowed so many promo images with the product page.
