Mairit takes his position as family negotiator very seriously. As the eldest, he feels it is his responsibility to take care of his younger siblings and make sure they don't hurt each other (or rather, make sure Jaerni doesn't try to get Gavroche killed again). He is very kind towards Lusciniae, and much more sympathetic to their position than the average human.
As the heir to the Vianes business (and fortune), Mairit began working in the family store when he turned eighteen. After learning that his younger brother Gavroche was one of the Luscinia, he set to putting his powers to good use to make sure he stayed out of trouble. He was furious when Jaerni nearly got him executed, and still reminds his other brother that he was lucky to get off with only a fine. Secretly, Mairit is one of the few human supporters of the growing Lusciniae resistance, and is the group's primary source of funds. He hasn't told Gavroche for fear that the teen would be too nervous about the situation. Instead, he finds every excuse he can to get him to practice his powers legally, as it is the only practice Gavroche will be able to get.
Gavroche's eldest brother, Mairit. He's a couple of years older than Jaerni, and a hundred times nicer. More fun with scars. DAZ|Studio.

I also like the small detail of the design at the top of his boots.
