The first full render of my character, Alistair Liddell, for an upcoming Dresden Files RPG my boyfriend is running. I posted his OC Summary earlier, and just had to finish this today. Somehow, I have a feeling I'll be rendering the other characters too.

I'm very happy with this. His skin is a custom texture I made (specifically, shading on his face and over all tone), and the paint and decal on his shirt were custom too, though the base beneath those are just recolors of the original texture files.

Yes, that is a paintbrush in his hand. He's still being fleshed out, but it's already well established that he works some of his magic through painting, particularly conjurations, aided by his skill as a trompe-l'oeil artist (this, if you're curious).

Rendered in DAZ with postwork in Photoshop

UPDATE: Uploaded the test render I did, if you want to see the face texture a little better.

Hahaha, I totally just sent you a link too ^^;. And thank you. I do love me some D&D (just finished running a 3-yr long campaign), although this particular character is for a Dresden Files RPG game.

I haven't played a tabletop campaign in sooooooo long. Like seriously... so long I'd have to relearn how to play. I do the online version, the MMORPG, which is really fun.

I can't stand MMOs. Too much crunchy numbers, not enough personal story.

I don't like the bulk of MMOs, I hate hate hate WOW.... DDO was a fun experience to find though. The people are friendlier, less trolls. I love that there's a DM that talks to you when you are in dungeons. There's actually a lot of story in it, and not just mindless farming for level.

Never got to play DDO, but that's what I heard about it too. I hate WOW for a few other reasons (namely my best friend's husband spending hours on it when he was unemployed, instead of looking work).

I know a few people that got lost to WOW like that as well. I just never understood buying a game, then having to pay monthly to play it.

The creators are geniuses and people are stupid.

This looks really cool but he looks so out of it. Poor guy looks so tired, and I know this from the OC summary
